"The "Joy of JESUS"

International Sports Chaplains... WINTER OLYMPICS In SOCHI, RUSSIA!!! One of the rewards of this ministry is that you share the "Joy of Jesus" with others best... when that "JOY" radiates through you to others. Trish has that "Joy". People can see Jesus love in her and are drawn to her. Trish Ratliff, a BU grad living in Houston, shares her "joy" in Christ with Austrian Super G skier, Max Franz. A major part of that "Joy" is knowing that the One we share "SAVES": Acts 4:12 "And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved." Please continue to pray for more and more Divine Appointments like this one so that more of the world can see, understand, and accept...
the "JOY" that JESUS offers.

ANSWERED PRAYERS in SOCHI OLYMPICS

First let me tell you that ALL the new Silver Team International Sports Chaplains arrived safely in Sochi, Russia. Thanks you for your prayers for their safety. Today was their first day to share the GoodNews of Jesus love at the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.
It was another great day to be alive and to be able to tell the story about Jesus and His love for us. It was a great day half the team made their way to Olympic Park for some incredible divine appointments as we spent time at the USA House... while the other half were spreading the Good News with some of the 15,000 who were attending the downhill event.
My prayer is that God will use these opportunities to bring Glory to Himself.

PRAYER REQUEST... WINTER OLYMPICS In SOCHI, RUSSIA!!!

25 years ago, at the Calgary Olympics, the concept of the "Jesus Pin" became the foundation of a ministry that would become internationally recognized for its effectiveness in sharing the Gospel. While people from all over the world join together for the Olympic Games, our International Sports Chaplains use the spectator sport of pin-trading to create an instant bridge of communication with others.
The key to the success of our ministry is the "Jesus Pin". Tens of thousands of pins are traded on a daily basis at the Olympics. The New York Times stated that "pins are a kind of social currency, pre-Facebook form of social media that gives random fans a reason to start a conversation and even form a friendship" By taking advantage of this popular activity, our Chaplains are able to open conversations with hundreds of people each day. Since the initial topic is the "Jesus Pin", the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the center of attention and the path to Salvation is the story told each time a pin is shared.
As we enter into our fourteenth Olympic Games this February, we will be taking 10,000 pins with us into Russia. Each person that receives a pin will also be introduced to the life-changing power of Jesus Christ. Divine Appointments are waiting for us and our veteran Chaplains know how completely we are held in the hand of God during this time.
I ask for your prayers as raise the needed funds for the "Jesus Pins" and as our team prepares to go to Russia to "Carry the Word to the World" at the Olympic Games. Thank you for your prayer support.
